Hello, I have a graphics problem with Monterey on my Mac mini end of 2014 ( Graphics problem under Monterey (Intel Iris 1536 MB chip). The edges of the Dock and the Control Panel appearing full of artifact, like plastic cut with scissors or torn. My Mac being compatible it's strange and ugly. I should mention that other users with other Macs using this chip have the same problem.

UPDATE :
I successfully downgraded to catalina and no glitch to be found. (Clean Install followed by a restoration)
I managed to find the EFI update on Apple's website so that you can downgrade only the EFI but I didn't need it. Installing Catalina worked. Now the control center doesn't exist in this OS but other glitches (grouped app folders, dock and login, close/reduce/full screen windows button) are gone.
I'm now downloading Big Sur to see if the glitches are there (they weren't before I installed Monterey), and if they are I will see if I can use the older EFI with Big Sur.
I'll keep you posted.
I have the same glitch too and I still can't find a fix, already try everything from reset pRAM, safe mode even I reinstalled MacOs Monterey and no change.
MacOS 12.1 doesn't fix anything, I'm a step closer to restore to the previous version from time machine backup.
Yep! You can downgrade to Big Sur. I did it today, see page two.
For a company like Apple that owes a large part of its success to its ergonomics and visual quality, it's a bit messy. Or maybe we should remove the Macs equipped with this graphics chip from the list of compatible hardware
I have similar problems with iMac 2015 retina.
In my case there are horizontal black&white glitches/lines that pop up. In most cases when I use Lightroom or Safari.
Is that true, I can't downgrade because firmware has changed? If it is true, I switch to Microsoft^^
January, 2022 - I read every word in the hope that there would be an answer at the end... I was wrong. At least I'm glad I found this forum, I was about to change my new display...
This is unacceptable from a company like Apple. They should have technical representatives that can guide us here with official information.
It's really weird that this happens to you on a model supporting macOS Monterey 12
Apple has dropped support on my model the macbook Pro late 2013 retina display and I have to use OpenCore to boot Monterey 12; but the graphics are perfect without any problem I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4258U CPU
When it is fixed in a beta version, I guess it will be also included in the final 12.3 update.
But it is still not completely fixed: when I switch to bright mode, the formerly black round "app is open" indicator in the dock is now a square one. In dark mode, it is a round dot.
Nobody has the same problem as me?
Thanks for your feedback. I've tried all of this, but it doesn't change anything. It seems to happen on all Macs equipped with this graphics chipset.
