How do I get Monterey screensaver to show the mat-geo photos.
MacBook Air
Yes, I know the steps and followed
no matter what “source” I select I only get a black or white screen
i used the nat-geo pics in the past, but I can’t even get colors to work
dynamic backgrounds are selected for screens
but changing to static does not change snything
i also have screen sleep set to never, but no matter the value, no change
Trying to use photos from my photo library
I'm having the same issue.
Same issue here, if there's an attached monitor to my Macbook Pro 16-inch 2019. However, if without any external monitors, screensaver "Ken Burns" is working fine.
Upgraded from Big Slur to Monterey, now photo screen saver is no longer working. Please send the fix so I can see my grandchildren photos on the screen saver again. Thank you!
See possible solution above
Well I looked for that folder or set of files and I don’t have them so no solution for me but glad it’s working for others
You would need to install the iLife media browser using the link above and see if that file gets installed.
Same problem. Same screensaver photos I was using until the update. Checked settings and they are correct, but screensaver photos never start. Black screen.
I just get a black screen since the upgrade.
Agreed that Apple needs to fix this among other issues. Where can I find the iLife folder mentioned to fix the screensaver issue?
Absolutely bananas something this basic is broken and shipped with a new OS.
Apple under Steve was all about the little things. Apple under Tim only care about the big picture.
I'm having the same problem with my Screensaver on my iMac. Before I updated to Monterey it was working fine using my I photos library. Now all I get is a black screen with the time on it.😈😩
Update now to 12.1 to fix the issue
The newest update for Monterey fixes the screensaver issue. I hope it fixes the Cap Lock glitch on my wireless keyboard too. It seems to but it was an intermittent glitch so time will confirm.
I did an update to 12.2 and screensaver is working fine now.
