Apple tv setup without remote

I just factory reset my apple tv using my computer. I lost my remote but can not continue setting up my tv. I wanted to use my iphone but I need to put in a code from my phone into the tv but that is not possible because I can not navigate through my apple tv.

What should I do?

If it's a 3rd generation or earlier Apple TV, you absolutely need a remote to navigate to the code screen. You can either borrow one from a friend or relative, or buy a replacement.
