iOS 15.1/ music not working

It's an iOS issue. It's affecting too many users with different vehicles and different car stereos to be otherwise. The tech support person I spoke with said Apple is aware of it and they are working on a fix or work-around, hopefully when 15.2 is released out of beta to all users.

SAME PROBLEM HERE!! I thought something was wrong with my car because the USB was still charging my phone just not playing music or podcasts. For what I pay for my cell phone monthly, this needs to be fixed. It’s been almost 2 months!

Good news for us, iOS 15.2 has been fixed this issue, now I can play my iPhone music in my Cruze 2012. I feel happy, this problem was very annoying because my iphone was only charging but not playing music in my car

I am having the same issue. My Phone charges with usb but won’t play music on Apple Music nor YouTube music nor Pandora etc... It’s very frustrating that I have to listen to my airpods while driving instead of being able to enjoy my cars bass. Please fix this issue Apple. Thank you

I was so excited by this news I went out to my 2019 Tucson and tried it out. Good start, CarPlay light was on, it was charging and music was playing. A second later it dropped the connection with my music. The good part was I can now charge my phone. The bad is no CarPlay and access to my music. 😭

Finally the issue has been fixed for me! I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze and I have been following this thread since the 15.1 update gave me the same issue. But I downloaded the 15.2 update last night and spotify works in my car now.

The 15.2 upgrade fixed my audio issue. Way to step up and admit your faulty inferior IOS upgrade Apple. sigh Had you at least been honest you would have saved many of us lots of time, money, and frustration. Apple won me many years ago with out of this world customer service and products. Now they are at risk of losing me for the same reasons on the other side of horrible. Not that Apple cares, getting ready to be the first 3 billion dollar company in the history of Earth. sigh again Oh well, it was a great run Apple, ‘til you got too big for your britches.

Mines as well I have a2016 Chevy Cruze and after the update it will not play , I have a I have business phone so plug it up and it worked just fine however my Apple Music is in that phone I updated. Update is not safe for the music please fix the issue Apple !!! Please

The same thing is happening to me. I have a 2011 chevy malibu and my iphone literally used to play music on the aux cord or usb now it wont connect at all. It will charge in the car but wont play music. Ive done everything and nothing is working.

I was driving thru France in my Honda Civic 2015 listening to streamed music through the aux cord. I downloaded the new update as requested as I arrived at the hotel, and on plugging in the iphone (brand new 12 mini) the next morning, with 800 miles to go, IT DIDN@T WORK! This is a disaster! Please, please fix this!

I’m having this exact same issue with my 2016 Chevy Cruze Limited, after 15.1 I can still go through my AUX but can’t charge and play music at the same time like before this update. It seems like it’s just Chevy Cruze’ from these forums I’m reading which is super odd. But they need to fix this ASAP because it’s bad

I have a 2015 Chevy Spark and my iPhone 8s plus updated last week, now my aux cord connects the phone but no sound comes from the car speakers even though I can control it through the MyLink screen. And the Bluetooth works intermittently. Not cool.

I thought it was just me. I looked foolish today in my car thinking I was doing something wrong. Then when I googled how to fix it I saw that since the iOS 15 update there are several Chevy Cruz owners that are having the same problem. Super frustrating to say the least

I’m also having this issue with my 2012 Chevy Cruze and iPhone 11. I feel like Apple should be aware that the car is not capable of playing music through Bluetooth, only calls. I’m so devastated that I can’t play music through my phone anymore. When I use navigation voice apps it will cut off the radio, and then delay and say “CALL ENDED” after every turn direction. It integrated when I could use usb and Apple Music.

I have a 2008 Honda Accord...downloaded update...aux still not working...bought new cable and adapter...still not working...plugged in my iPhone 4s...works perfectly so it's not the aux port! Any ideas???
