"Trust this browser?" still doesn't work under Monterey.

Even on my newest MacBook Pro, I have to go through the same security code routine every time I enter an Apple secure site, such as the developer's site, or iCloud. Trying other suggested fixes gains nothing. All my devices have this issue.

Anyone have a fix, or maybe we just wait for Apple to get around to fixing it?

Hi K4zrj,

We'd like to help you find the best solution for trusted sites. We would recommend starting with checking to see if you have cookies disabled. If you have them blocked, we recommend turning this off to see if the issue remains. In addition, if you have any VPN networks enabled, let us know if this remains if this is off as well. If this happens on the same network, check to see if you have Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points. We hope this helps.

Hi K4zrj,

An additional step will be to see if this is specific to the user account by setting up a test user with this guidance: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac, and if it is, you can look at seeing if login items are causing a conflict, and you can follow the steps here: Remove login items to resolve startup problems on your Mac. This will only be needed if you test in another user account and find that you do not have this issue there as well. If you do not, let us know, and if you have an issue in another user account, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support. You can use the link below, if needed.

Just spoke with Apple Support and it is this way because the browser (Safari) cannot remember the last security code so it requests a new one. So, every time you log into the developer's site (for instance) it will send you a new code. I suggested that the wording is misleading in that it suggests that if you trust this browser, you won't have to enter a new code the next time you log in, but this is not the case.

Hi K4zrj,

Creating a new user account and testing this issue would still be helpful, even if it is occurring with multiple devices. This helps us to isolate the issue further to determine how to proceed with troubleshooting. If you have done this already, we would suggest contacting Apple Support to further investigate this issue, You can use the link below, if needed.

I have created a new admin user, logged into the developer's page, logged out and still have to trust the browser when I again try to log in. Have also logged out of iCloud and logged back in, same result.

Nothing I have tried has made any difference. The Safari browser will not be trusted when logging into the developer's site. I guess this is just the way it's going to be. The browser says to trust it, but it doesn't remember when you try the next time.
