Keynote: make motion path visible

I'm showing a map in Keynote and then want to create a magnifying glass effect on a particular town, using scale and move to create a zoomed-in inset of the town with the whole map still visible underneath (as shown in this demo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ti_m6ynDVAc)

It all works fine, except I can't find a way to make the motion path visible, so it effectively points to the original location of the town on the map underneath.

Can anyone help?

The red motion path is a design tool used in editing, therefore it is not intended to show in Play.

If you want show a red line while Keynote is in play, add a line from shapes: (Insert > Line) and add an animation if required.

Thanks for the reply - and for watching the video!

I don't think it does show what I want, does it? It's not the line and shadow around the magnified image that I'm struggling with. It's the (red) line that shows the motion path between the original location and the magnified image. It shows in Preview like it does in the video, but I can't make it display on the final slide.
