Photo Library Lost on iMac
When I backed up my entire Photo Library to icloud for the first time, everything went to the cloud ok, but now I have no photos on the imac. why did they delete just because I backed up to icloud?

There are several keyboard shortcuts used with Photos.
Fantastic. All the other proposed solutions said to hold down the option & cmd keys while opening the photos app. This did nothing. Option only was the solution. Thank you very much for the quick response Keith.
They don't, your library should be right where you left it.
Try opening Photos with the option key held down. Is your Library shown in the dialog?
