I got a new MacBook Pro M1 Max a few days ago. I just noticed that my up and down arrow keys are note working. It’s running macOS Monterey 12.0.1. This is happening in all applications. I have tried disconnecting all accessories and other devices and rebooting. That has not fixed it.
Typically, I would reset the SMC, but apparently this doesn’t exist on the M1 chips. I'd be grateful for any help.
MacBook Pro (2020 and later)
Open keyboard viewer (Open System Preferences>Keyboard>Input sources and click on show input in menu bar, then click on the keyboard icon in menu bar and select show keyboard viewer. )
Press on the arrow keys and side if the virtual keyboard shows those keys being depressed.

I did this, and it the arrow keys lit up, but it didn't fix the problem? Any suggestions on what to do after doing what you instructed here?
Okay, I did all this, and they lit up on the virtual keyboard, but I still can't scroll using them...What do I do next, after this process?
