HI -

Why is this setting allowed to bypass a proxy server?

I have been dealing with extreme cyber security issues, especially MITM attacks. Could this be connected?

My network is being monitored and I have caught evidence of re-wording my outgoing emails. I believe a key logger and MITM attacks are allowing my harassers/abusers the ability to do this.

Please advise on *.local, 169.254/16.

Thank you.

When this first started you should have reset your router to factory defaults and use a new admin password plus disable remote administration. You should also have performed a clean install of macOS and restored from a backup made before the issues started to occur. If you are unsure when the issues started to occur, then when performing a clean install you should not migrate/restore from a backup, but instead manually reinstall your third party apps and manually transferring your important files & settings. You should do this with any compromised device. You should change all of your account passwords for your systems and your other web accounts.

You should definitely do this now unless you are contacting the authorities in case they need access to the compromised systems for their investigation.

Hi - Thank you. Does anyone "let" a hacker into their network? These people are committing felonies every day by monitoring my ingoing and ongoing traffic ...on all my devices....it's a form of cyber stalking, harassment, and domestic abuse via proxy.

Are you saying these credentials would have to have been installed on the host side of the network...on my Mac? *local, 169.254/16

I didn't install a keylogger! Why would I have? I think they may have infected a USB I use or I clicked on a link, etc. This has been happening for over a year.

Thanks for your feedback.

Well, that’s the only way they could get to your Mac.

Are you saying these credentials would have to have been installed on the host side of the network...on my Mac? *local, 169.254/16

No, I’m saying those are normal because you don’t need to route internal traffic through the proxy.

I didn't install a keylogger! Why would I have?

That’s the only way it would have gotten on your Mac, unless you let someone remote into your Mac. But, it would still have been you allowing them to install it.

think they may have infected a USB I use

Why did you give it to them to infect?

or I clicked on a link, etc.

That wouldn’t have resulted in any of the things you have mentioned.

This has been happening for over a year.

You should call the police.
