Use Play History does not work

So on my AppleTV device, I’ll watch a show and at times I’ll stop part way through and come back to it. Sometimes hours or days later.

when I come back to it, I have the resume button, which I press. Rather than load the video I get a blank screen and the white spinning thing.

only way out is to start the episode again and scrub my way through to the point I was at. Very annoying.

this only happens on AppleTV content. Netflix, Disney plus, Amazon all works fine
