Bootcamp not enough disk space

heyo, so trying to set up bootcamp as you do. And bootcamp says not enough disk space (see below)but the thing is. I have so much fucking disk space. The external drive has a 128GB total storage and my internal drive has 255GB available (of 500GB). Downloading the 32bit windows will not work as apparently only 64 bit versions work on this system, which it only tells me as it almost finishes. The 64 bit almost immediately fails showing the first message. I do not think that a windows install should take up 128GB and i feel i am missing something or something has gone wrong. Help?

Have you ever thought about trying Parallels? It's a subscription virtual machine and one of the main reasons I prefer it over Boot Camp is that you can drag and drop and copy and paste between MacOS and whatever the other OS is. I've run Windows both ways and not noticed any difference in speed or performance - and it's just so much less hassle than having to reboot. I can't fault their tech support, either.
