Tracking number is not working

Apple's notice that your computer is shipped is an indication that the shipping process has started. It will involve the shipping process will start with the shipper in China who will get the product identified, packaged and labeled. The shipping agency will will be advised and pick up the package and will be scanned. The "origin scan" that you will receive about a week after Apple's advice to you and is the start of the tracking process when the product is received by the carrier. Apples tracking is some what delayed, and using the UPS site will provide mode up to-tracking information. There will be a holding period now and then while the package is waiting for transfer between the shipping movements. The shipment will take about a week to arrive at your address and probably a day or two when it gets to Anchorage.

The estimated arrival may change (delayed and advance). Be patient.

Hey John I posted yesterday and I get a text at bedtime from UPS with tracking info. They now have my package in their possession and is in transit from Shanghai, looks like it's heading for Toronto and for me to expect delivery in Fri Dec 10. It would appear from the origin scan that possession was at Shanghai which is why there is a UPS Tracking No. but UPS did not have possession when Apple said it was shipped in China. So I am content to wait till Friday. Expect to see your tracking info late tomorrow evening (if you are on the west coast).

Just an update on my side since I was in the same group as some others with my order changing to "Shipped" on Dec 3rd and an estimated delivery of Dec 14th. After waiting about 6 days they have finally updated my tracking to "Label Created" today. Seems like it's still possible to make the delivery on the 14th though I might just be optimistic. To be fair, my delivery window was Dec 14th to the 21st so if they can make the 14th it would be on the earlier side of my window. Finally some light at the end of the tunnel and I'm hoping others in the thread have the same status change soon as well!

I think you will find movement today, it took my package two days to finally get departed. Try looking at the tracking provided by UPS (or  https://www.17track.net/en).

Apple's tracking is spartan and gets delayed quite a bit. I, like you was getting a little anxious. Sometimes the UPS "My Choices" shipping detail data says that they can't find any information, but that usually indicates that the package is waiting somewhere and is not currently moving between facilities.

I had a MacBook Pro (mid 2012 retina) and it seems to be approaching EOL, But the wife says Dec 25 is opening time.

Yes I think most of us did get ours. Mine took about a week for the tracking number to show any status. FWIW my Mac seemed to arrive right on time based on the estimate apple gave with my order, and it was shipped during the busy holiday season. I was excited that it seemed to ship early but I think apple just knows that there will be export delays in China so they factor that all in to give you your estimated delivery date. Best of luck and I hope yours comes sooner than expected.

I had my notice that UPS had my Macbook Pro at bedtime (Vancouver) on Dec 6.

I have had a couple of notifications since, saying that they didn't have the latest info, but was occasionally notified that the shipment as on the way which seemed to coincide that it was in a movement.

The latest notice (and there are many including an exception) is that my package had arrived in Louisville this morning from Anchorage, from Seoul from Shanghai and has left the Louisville facility. Several times my estimated delivery has changed from Dec10 to Dec 13 and back again.

While I have watched the routing from Shanghai to Louisville, but I am not sure of the routine to Vancouver, whether it"s by air or road. I hope it's not by road or rail out because of the flooding damage here in BC. I feel sad that I will have to wait till after the weekend, especially since the plane routine from Anchorage did it's 6,400 mile trip over BC to get to Louisville, and the package has a 3400 mile trip back to Vancouver. But I have up till now been tracking.

I hope you guys will see your shipping information soon, and I would suggest either you google the Tracking number, or even sign into UPS "My Choice" website. FYI, Apple is still showing estimated delivery of Dec 10, while UPS lated iteration shows Dec 13.

I will that Apple holds the whip here, while UPS is expecting another exception.

Try that site that J16p suggested, but remember, the only thing that UPS has is a Tracking Number, and that they have no information until they do an "origin scan" when they get the package from the shipper. They have had my package since monday night (tuesday on their calender). Good luck.

What is probably happening is that UPS has limited air capability out of there and because of package volume they have a backlog. So packages are sitting around for days before getting origin scan.

There was a two day delay shown for Shanghai, but the magic words will be "departed" and "arrived".

Hey guys, good to see the tracking info coming in.

Update: My package has been delivered as of Dec 10 10:28PST, no signature asked for. The package was left at the front door. The door bell rang and the driver was already across the road, back to his truck. As I picked up the rest of my mail I saw a white van a little ways after the UPS Truck (Hmm).

FYI: For sheduling, my Initial Apple "shipped" notice was Nov 30, the "Origin and Export Scans" on Dec 06, In transit Dec 08, to Seoul - Anchorage - Louisville - Seattle to Vancouver Dec 10. UPS had changed the estimated delivery to Dec 13 a couple of times, and a late as 2 hours ago then delivery just now Dec 10 (Apple's first estimate).

I hope every one here now has an indication as to the timing for this shipment and good luck.

Looks like a few happy campers out there. Ups flights from Anchorage generally get to Louisville in the morning at sent out again during the afternoon. On thursday evening they were showing my latest estimated delivery for monday, which I was resigned to. Then friday morning with no new data showing, UPS drops my package at my door with no signature required.

I also checked in with https://www.radarbox.com/data/airlines/UPS filtering UPS.

So I'm betting that will get your packages tomorrow, so keep your eyes open and Good Luck!

Since we do not work for Apple, we really would not know. My opinion: UPS usually shows the tracking status within 24 hours or so or whenever they receive the package. So, your only source for info at this point would be Apple.
