Smart mailboxes dosent work in MacBook.

Hi, Mail doesn't work with filters (smart mailboxes, flagged and e.q. ) on my Macbook, what's wrong?

Mail filter does not include flagged Brand new macbook air M1 running on macOS Monterey. When I long-click the filter icon, it doesn't allow me to select option to include both unread AND flagged emails. Have googled / looked around and can't seem to find questions relating to this issue.

Mail smart mailbox not filtering The Smart Mailboxes that I create in Mail, Ventura 13.2.1 do not filter. They just show a very large number of unread emails (>155K) regardless of the criteria input. So does the "Today" System Smart Mailbox. I Went through the reindexing process, which took a while but didn't change anything. I deleted the smart mailbox and re-created it, also without any change. My regular mailboxes show no unread emails and flagged emails appear normal, showing the number of emails in each flagged category. Anything else to try?

Mail filtering options not working In Mac Mail I can no longer filter emails in my inbox other than by 'unread'. There used to be a 'filter by' option and then I could choose 'attachment' 'unread' 'date' etc ...... now, all I have is the filter symbol and the only option seems to be 'unread'. This happened after I upgraded to Monterey version 12.3.1 two weeks ago MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019) 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 Thanks. Bobby

First guess would be the Spotlight index is incomplete or corrupt.

Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac - Apple Support
