How to Avoid Accidental Back-to-Back Calls on iPhone 13 Pro Max

Bought a new iPhone 14 which automatically calls last number rung when red button pushed. I see this complaint has been occurring for at least 3+ years and still no fix from Apple. Wake up Apple, l am fed up apologising for errant calls due to your poor software.

In response to ypmaiya’s suggestion, I have never considered this but it would work. However, I’m not interested in adding extra clicks to avoid what is to me, a simple fix for Apple to make a correction that solves the problem. To plagiarize Nike, JUST DO IT, Apple!

Seriously, this is super-annoying and makes me thinking of switching to Android after 15 years of iPhones!

you could also grey the part of the caller list “behind” the end call button for 1/2 to 1 sec after the other person ends the call.

I think a very easy fix for a company, that cared so much about practicality in the past!!!

We're well in to 2024 and this is still an issue?

Surely in the long list of things that need to be fixed, this is the lowest of hanging fruit?

Take off all the bells and whistles, and this device is first and foremost a phone. It needs to be able to make, answer and end phone calls. How can you justify being bad at one of those 3 things for several years?

I respectfully disagree. It is a very powerful pocket-sized computer, that, incidentally, can make and receive phone calls.

They don’t want to fix it! After All these years since 1st iPhone was released there has been problems with Butt dialing etc.They have it set this way for a reason to catch recordings etc . This **** has gotten all kinds of people in big trouble high ranking officials , teachers , etc. Think of all the things these phones can accomplish banking , GPS , Social media , games , you name it ! But they can’t fix something as simple as this ????

Alright Apple, somehow this major flaw still is still being ignored almost three years later. I have every Apple device under the sun. But due to these types of bugs in iOS and MacOS, I’ve decided to slowly transition to Google this summer starting by ditching my iPhone for a Pixel. As my MacBooks, iPads, Apple Watch, AirPods, etc wear out, they will no longer be replaced. You’ve ignored too many flaws to justify these prices.

This happens to me also on my iPhone 13 max pro WAY too often. It’s very annoying.

Same thing here. Very annoying if you use your phone for private life and work. Calling colleagues you don‘t need to call, at non working times is highly uncomfortable.

Apple, please fix this!

I have the same problem. Every time I inadvertently call someone else, then have to apologize that it was inadvertent. Apple do something about this!

How can we get Apple to change this feature? It's the worst thing. Is it possible to pay someone in Apple to contact the right people?

This happens to me several times a day now using my iPhone 11 Pro. It’s becoming incredibly frustrating!

Apparently Apple does NOT listen to its Customers at all!!:(

This happened all the time with my IPhone 6 and now with my iPhone 12. I just tell everyone I butt dialed them by accident. Have been told I have talented butt.
