How to Avoid Accidental Back-to-Back Calls on iPhone 13 Pro Max

It’s 2023 April and I have a iPhone 14 pro, and the problem still exists. Have called 3 people in the last three days at very bad times(across continent)…@Apple, If there is a fix, please update us! Thanks

I have to wonder how you even ended up here. You must not have this problem if this is your solution for this issue. Most of us with this problem have likely had iPhones for way over a decade; so you try switching up the way you end calls, and let us know how that goes? We can also just not hit the button at all, for that matter. Seriously. 🙄

Same, except it’s been happening since I got the 13. I had a 10, and it was not an issue at all. Another problem I have is accidentally deleting texts I’ve kept for years and years. It’ll literally happen in my purse! (And yes, screen is locked with Face ID!) I cannot believe this problem started this long ago, and they haven’t even answered anyone…. Must just be a few of us that are unlucky, and have a glitch or something? I sure wish I knew!

Read my reply. Is that how you end calls? On top of that, I didn’t spend $1100 to be calling my parents in the middle of the night when I’m working third shift. Seriously, I actually thought I was going to find some solid advice here.

YESSSSS I Hate it. This is a big issue!! Apple have to correct this problem!! We pay a lot for Apple phones and to deal with this BS. Apple have to do better. All these upgrades and the problem still not solve and this one is a major one 🤬

I absolutely hate to send messages to my favourite contacts apologising for nightly disturbances because of fat finger incidences.

How about a short confirmation like "Would you like to call this number?" Common, you do it in the browser when you click on a number. Why not here?

I also have this problem and it is completely unacceptable to the point where I am thinking of switching from my iPhone.

apple does not seem to care about this issue.

does anyone gave a circumvention to get around it?

Was in my toyota sienna the other day and the phone was tied into their system via bluetooth. After I person I was talking to hung up, the **** phone automatically started calling a random number in the contact list! hit the end icon on the display screen and the stupid phone started calling someone else. since I was drivin I had to pull over and find the phone in my jacket!

I can't stand this phone calling people after I hang up! Come on Apple! For what we pay for these #@$%# phones Apple should make this a top priority! Iphone 13 pro Max. Update after update ! Fix this NOW !!

I have this problem with phone automatically dialing people after a phone call is ended. As well as once I hit the end button only to discover it actually did not hang up, this happens multiple times a day. It has also just made calls all on its own when phone is locked and in my case. I have had my iPhone 11 and now 13 hacked people have been able to access my phone and do all types of things. iPhone are no where near as secure as we are made to believe

January 3rd 2024 and this is still a problem.

it’s really a shame that Apple chooses to keep this harassing end call feature. This never used to be a problem and it’s now been years of these different “discussions” and yet absolutely no relief or solutions.

Whether or not there is a diety reading here is a question I cannot answer.

I totally agree. This is super annoying and frankly I’m tired of having to explain to people that I didn’t intend to call them. It seems this is a big enough issue @apple that it’s time to stop ignoring people and do something about it! 😡 This discussion has been happening since 2021. Is three years not enough time to fix the problem? SMH
