How to Avoid Accidental Back-to-Back Calls on iPhone 13 Pro Max

Since my new iphone 13 pro max (or maybe ios15?): when I hang up my call, i start immediately calling someone else, due to the fact the calling screen goes away so extremely fast if the other one on the phone is hanging up earlier: I press hang up, but the screen goes away so fast if the other one is faster, that I press calling the one in my list that was behind the "end phonecall button".

I didn't have this before, now I call 3 people a day by accident. Anyone else the same issue?

Called my boss last Sunday at 02:30 am when I was in a club and ended a call, asking my buddy where he is. What makes this even worse is the speed, that the iPhone dials up the phone connection. After calling my boss I pressed the hang up Butten literally 1/10 of a sec. later and still he got a missed call and called me back 5mins later, asking me what’s going on…
this ist the third time, this happend with my boss. He must think I am an absolute idiot… that’s why I googled for a fix and I am shocked that this problem is discussed since over a year.

As discussed, simply get in to the habit of ending calls with the side button. This avoids all potential for mishap.

Seriously, this is super-annoying and makes me thinking of switching to Android after 15 years of iPhones!
you could also grey the part of the caller list “behind” the end call button for 1/2 to 1 sec after the other person ends the call.
I think a very easy fix for a company, that cared so much about practicality in the past!!!

You should tell Apple:

I have the same problem with the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Whenever I have started a phone call from the call list, I don't dare to hang up with the red button after the call has ended. Since it can happen if my conversation partner has hung up earlier, the page to hang up disappears and I then accidentally press any last contact from the call list.

Since the connection is established immediately, I have often called someone pointless in the last few months, which I did not want.

Apple please fix the problem, it's so annoying this error.

I have the same problem. I make a call, end the call by pushing the red button. My iPhone 13 Pro Max will then make a random call from my contacts even while sitting on my desk. If I see it before the person answers, I will hit end again. The person calls back later to see what I wanted. If the person answers, I explain that my phone did it. My phone continues to make another call. Very frustrating and time consuming. For such an expensive phone, one would expect it to work as good, if not better than previous versions of the iPhone. I have had iPhones from the birth of the iPhones and never experienced this before.

I also had an incident when I yelled out to my wife in a store "where are you" and with my phone in my pocket, Siri answered "I am right here!"

Note: All of the calls above were made by selecting the contact, and not by using Siri

Apple, please fix this problem!

This happens to me as well and it's VERY annoying.

I think the best fix would be to have a switch that lets the user have a delay after the black "calling screen" closes, and during this delay the screen is unresponsive to touch, or maybe just the area of the screen right under the red "hangup" button. I think to let the user adjust the time of the delay would also be a good idea. Have this delay be switchable, because everyone wouldn't need it, and have it adjustable in length of delay. I wouldn't think I would want mine any longer than 0.5 seconds, but it would be nice to be able to adjust it some.

Apple, are you listening?

There’s no point in going around in circles. That’s the way iPhones work. Period. End of discussion. If you don’t like it, get a phone that works the way you do want it to work-if you can find one; Android phones work the same way. Perhaps a basic flip phone that hangs up when you close it. Or tell Apple you don’t like it→Product Feedback - Apple

Lawrence.... this is me. I was joking.
