I guarantee the "issue" happens on your phone. How you use the phone means you don't experience it, but it would happen. You either always hang up with the power button, don't use the "Recents" call list to make calls, never use the full screen dialer, or are faster than everyone you call at hanging up the phone.

It isn't necessarily a bug, because it's an intentional choice by Apple, but it's a stupid choice.

We understood all 3 statements!

But, it is a problem for many iPhone users and i personally know more than 10 users who have submitted product feedback to Apple, but nothing happened since 15 months.

So, here is at least a place where users with this problem can find a description of the problem, can use the "I have this question too" and keep getting informed about this topic.

With 15 pages and more than 2,000 'me too' remarks, easy to get frustrated

MY iPhone also calls on its own. After hanging up on a call. I sit the phone down. Next thing I know. The phone has randomly called someone else. Also they listened to my conversation when I didn't know the phone had called someone. This is very disturbing! Not safe!

Please Apple God, help us! So many “butt dials” because of this. Just reposition the red end call button to a spot that doesn’t overlay a contact that can be dialed inadvertently! This should be easy enough to do with a simple software update.

Very frustrating. I unknowingly called a customer by accident who told me they listened to me talking in my office for a while. Thankfully I didn't say anything negative on the "hot mic", but that could easily have cost me an account or even my job.

I have no idea why Apple isn't fixing this issue.

All they would need to do is leave the phone on the touch pad/dialing screen after the hang up and not close out the dialer to the Recents screen. Or, just close the phone app altogether. Is that so hard?

Have no Apple developers ever experienced this?

I literally fear hanging up the **** phone now.

No one here in this user-to-user forum can make any changes in how the iPhone works. And Apple doesn't read here for feedback or suggestions. However, a link to the feedback page which they do read has been given on almost every page of this thread.

This issue happens everyday for my wife's iodine 12 pro and randomly with my new iPhone 13 Pro Max! Has anyone recently found a solution? @Apple, where is the answer??

Apple, please fix this issue. This was never a problem before!

OMG fix this problem. It is so annoying calling other people by accident and this can be fixed so easily. I am about to toss my 13 pro max because of this problem.

This is a frequent frustration, when is the fix coming @Apple ?

No, really, they don't read here for suggestions. Use the feedback link.

And use the side button.

The only thing you can do is try contacting Apple and if that doesn't work, you might have to wait for a new iOS update to fix this problem.

That's not a solution, it's a workaround. iOS didn't used to do it. It is an annoying bug that they should fix.
