ios and bluetooth

have an iPhone XR and some strange things have been happening since updating to iOS 15.1. When using my Iphone in the car and have it connected via cable, my music will many times skip part of a song that is playing from my library. I have also had the issues where if I leave my car when it is turned off and I remove my phone, upon returning and plugging the phone back in, the music with not play..Resolution is to turn the car radio off then back on 1 or more time in order for it to play. At times, the car display will show the music playing, but I get no sound until I turn the radio off and back on again.

Only since updating to the latest iOS. Suggestions?
