MacBook Air (M1) and Gaming

Good day everyone!

Trying to decide between an M1 MacBook Air or Pro, and really my areas of concern only come down to thermal stability. The only games I really anticipate trying to play are Minecraft and maybe Counter Strike:Global Offensive for at most an hour or two while on a laptop stand with a small fan on it. Does anybody have experience with a setup like this? I've seen videos where people get fantastic frames for these games given the nature of ARM chips running x86 programming, but I didn't know if there would be a steep dropoff after more than a few minutes of gaming.

Thank you so much for your thoughts!
