How can I find MEMORY usage on my iPad (not storage/disk but MEMORY)

I'm trying to find a native (preferably) or non-native app to check RAM (again, not storage) to see what various apps are using. Almost every hit I've found on this question takes me to storage and this is NOT what I'm looking for. Macbooks have an Activity Monitor that shows this info. Is there something similar on an iPad?

I have to disagree with you on that, Revianmac. I've worked in the memory space on computers and cell phones for 15 years and I understand memory optimization. The IPadOS may optimize memory in nominal conditions but there are situations and apps where things malfunction. Memory leaks happen with some apps and memory overloads can occur with some app combinations in some cases. On my iPad the system is very sluggish and is freezing sometimes and that is a sign that the OS is not managing all things perfectly. I believe it is a memory issue but can't say for sure.

To specifically answer your question, there is no native app that can do what you want to do. If you really want something similar to Activity Monitor, you need to download a System Status app in the App Store. I have one but it doesn’t show how much RAM each app is using, but it shows total RAM being used and it does show some other interesting information.

We don’t need to worry about RAM because iPadOS manages that for us in an optimized way. If you saw the RAM you’d likely begin force-closing apps to gain memory. However, force-closing apps actually uses more system resources because it takes more resources to launch an app from scratch rather than to unsuspend an app that is suspended. macOS handles things in a different way.
