iOS 15.2 Battery Drain

Is anyone experiencing battery drain since updating to iOS 15.2? If so, any tips for what to do about it? I just updated this morning. Thanks!

Since updating to ios 15.2, my iPhone 11 Pro Max is fast losing battery. The battery drain even in standby is too much. 7-8% overnight. iPhones have this legendary standby time but this is very disconcerting. My battery health has stayed at 86% since ios 15.0. I waited the usual 4 days too allow for the indexing and other background processes but it has not improved.

Mabouya-v ~ What model and iOS version?...

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

I have noticed much better battery life since updating to iOS 15.2. I have an iPhone 6sPlus and have gone from having to recharge every 12-15 hours under iOS 14 and earlier versions of iOS 15 to recharging every 24 hours under 15.2. I don’t think I have changed much in the way of settings or usage since upgrading.

Funny, for me it's the other way around. I used to recharge my iPhone 12 Mini every 24+ hours, now with 15.1 and 15.2 I recharge it every 12 hours. Frustrating. I tried resetting and even erasing my phone, nothing helped.

15.2 ruined my iPhone 8. Prior to this update, battery health was 93% and it lasted a full day of moderate use. Right after the update, it would drop from 100% charge down to 40% in a few hours. From there it dropped as low as 11% within a few more hours. Battery page showed activity in the middle of the night with screen off, so I'm guessing that was the indexing. But even after that was done, everything about the battery was weird. The percent would drop to low 40s, then I'd plug it in and it would instantly shoot up to low 90s, then drop to 80s as soon as it was unplugged. Health remained at 93%. Guessing that the update was corrupt in some way, I erased the phone and restored from scratch. Everything improved for about half a day, then it was back to the 15.2 battery drain. So I bought a new SE 2020 Gen 2.

One possible theory: my iPhone 8 never indicated a firmware update as part of the 15.2 update. But my brand new SE 2020, which came with 15.1, did the firmware update during 15.2 installation via iTunes. And it is working properly with 15.2.
