iOS 15.2 Battery Drain
Is anyone experiencing battery drain since updating to iOS 15.2? If so, any tips for what to do about it? I just updated this morning. Thanks!

iPhone 12 Pro. I updated 5 days ago and now go from 95% to 3% overnight with no use. Apple News widget is removed. This is worse day to day, not better. I’m going to try resetting Network connections before i try anything else. System is no longer usable for me, but another iPhone X in the house seems to be ok.
My wife's iPhone 7 was good until updated last week - dropped from 78% overnight on four occasions- had to get a new battery fitted by Apple today. And my 2020 SE was 100% battery health until today and its now 96% Not impressed at all!
Since updating to ios 15.2, my iPhone 11 Pro Max is fast losing battery. The battery drain even in standby is too much. 7-8% overnight. iPhones have this legendary standby time but this is very disconcerting. My battery health has stayed at 86% since ios 15.0. I waited the usual 4 days too allow for the indexing and other background processes but it has not improved.
Hi,
Yes after update iOS 15.2 , battery draining faster, even I am facing this issue, let's hope for new update from #apple to fix this. Please everyone report to apple community, so that they easily get to know the problem and work on it on new update release.
Thank you.
Just charged to 90% and it doesn’t dropped any % overnight. I woke up and used the phone for 9 minutes and the battery dropped to 87%, so i just turned off the phone to see what happens and the phone discharged to 83% 🤡

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

I have noticed much better battery life since updating to iOS 15.2. I have an iPhone 6sPlus and have gone from having to recharge every 12-15 hours under iOS 14 and earlier versions of iOS 15 to recharging every 24 hours under 15.2. I don’t think I have changed much in the way of settings or usage since upgrading.

Funny, for me it's the other way around. I used to recharge my iPhone 12 Mini every 24+ hours, now with 15.1 and 15.2 I recharge it every 12 hours. Frustrating. I tried resetting and even erasing my phone, nothing helped.
I have the same issue on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. The battery drains to 10% in 10 hours during a day. My wife has the same 13pro max with 15.0.1 and it works for from 30 to 48 hours on one charge (web surfing, video watching, and random gaming).
Hey Apple! It's time to FIX THIS!!!
Yes, it is dire with 15.2 and my iPhone 7. Hardly lasts on a full charge for more than 5 hours, even to the point of turning virtually everything off. There is nothing, as far as I can work out, actually running any more beyond using it as an 'actual' phone. It was fine with 14 but 15.0 15.1 and now 15.2, total killer of battery life

The annoying thing was it was fine, lasted forever before 15 and now it is useless. Perhaps it is time to get the battery upgraded but personally still feel that 15.2 is the real killer. Will take it to my local Apple store and see if it can be fixed, especially annoying as I still have many months to go with a contract.
Perhaps next time I will just have to upgrade to a better model instead of going for a 7 or 8 ... but just pointing out that many 100s of people seem to be experiencing a very weird high drain after 15 / 15.1 / 15.2 where it was ok with 14.
Hi the the phone is 4 years old. the battery charge capacity has dropped to 83% no message from Apple.
I charged the phone to 100% last night and it had only dropped to 85% over night! So maybe the wait 3 day rule is a thing?
I'll wait and see, and let you know.
Thanks for your interest!
15.2 ruined my iPhone 8. Prior to this update, battery health was 93% and it lasted a full day of moderate use. Right after the update, it would drop from 100% charge down to 40% in a few hours. From there it dropped as low as 11% within a few more hours. Battery page showed activity in the middle of the night with screen off, so I'm guessing that was the indexing. But even after that was done, everything about the battery was weird. The percent would drop to low 40s, then I'd plug it in and it would instantly shoot up to low 90s, then drop to 80s as soon as it was unplugged. Health remained at 93%. Guessing that the update was corrupt in some way, I erased the phone and restored from scratch. Everything improved for about half a day, then it was back to the 15.2 battery drain. So I bought a new SE 2020 Gen 2.
One possible theory: my iPhone 8 never indicated a firmware update as part of the 15.2 update. But my brand new SE 2020, which came with 15.1, did the firmware update during 15.2 installation via iTunes. And it is working properly with 15.2.
