keyboard shortcuts do not work anymore with numeric keypad

Since macOS Monterey, keyboard shortcuts using the numbers on the numeric keypad, on a full-size Apple keyboard, do not work anymore.

For example, to switch view in Finder windows, you could change to symbol, list or column view with the shortcuts CMD-1, 2 or 3, either with the numbers on the top of the keyboard or using the numbers on the keypad.

So since Monterey this isn't possible anymore.

Also, shortcuts assigned via the keyboard system preferences to services or fast tasks, using the numpad, do not work anymore. You can still assign them though, however, they do not work actually.

Any suggestions?

I have this issue on several iMacs.

iMac 27″, macOS 12.0

I'm sorry for the confusion.

Language is set to Dutch and is not part of the problem or solution.

Input source is by default set to "Belgisch" (Belgian Flemish) for our azerty keyboard. that's the one that fails.

When using French, ABC-AZERTY, the problem is solved

In fact, when using any other than the default input source, the problem is solved.

So, while I could (and will for now) use ABC-AZERTY to fix this issue, the problem remains with the default setting.

Is there a way to reset or replace this default one with an old/working one?

The problem seems to occur when using a azerty keyboard combined with the Belgian (Dutch) language setting.

When changing the language to Dutch, the shortcuts do work again.

However, this is not a solution since Dutch is qwerty and not cool to work on a azerty keyboard.

Language and Input Source (keyboard layout) are independent settings. It's not always clear from your post which of them. you are talking about. For an Azerty keyboard, your System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Source needs to be set to French or ABC Azerty or Belgian. Do the shortcuts not work for any of those three?
