Why is Report Crash using 98% of my cpu?

My MacBook Pro, running 12.0.1 os, with 8GB of memory is running very slowly. The Activity Monitor shows that 99.6% of my CPU is "Report Crash". I can't close this process. What can I do to speed up my laptop?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.0

Firstly the process should disappear after a Restart.

Then, would suggest updating Monterey to latest 12.1 released Monday Dec 13, 2021

One should perform a Time Machine Backup  is very useful and can be used to Revert to Previous Working macOS.  before updating to 12.1

It brings some bug fixes to the original release this computer is running now.
