iCal - Event importing with wrong time zone

I live in EST (Melbourne, Australia) but every time I book an appointment online and then download the booking to iCal it sets it to GMT. It has the right time showing unless I click and open the appointment up. I have the time zones set correctly so I am not sure how to fix this issue.

Greetings HeidimarieR,

We understand you have some concerns related to appointment times and are happy to assist.

First we encourage you to review our article If you can't change the time or time zone on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to ensure the proper settings and permissions are enabled and configured.

If those are set appropriately, you can go to Settings > Calendar > Time Zone Override and enable this function to ensure that appointment times are forced into your local timezone and see if this corrects the behavior that you're experiencing.

We hope this helps!
