M1 MBP 13" doesn't recognise external monitor via type c

Hi there!

I trying to connect Huawei MateView 28 to my M1 13" 2020 Macbook pro via type c cable, but macbook have not any reaction for connection. I already tried:

  • Reboot macbook
  • reboot monitor
  • switch off mac and wait 30 seconds with closed lid
  • reset monitor to factory settings

but monitor doesn't appear anyhere.


OS X: Monterey 12.1

Type C cable plugged directly into macbook, not via hub.


If you have any info about this thing, please text it!

Guys, if you have trouble with connecting Huawei MateView 28 via Type C such as describing it topic, you need to buy new good USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 cable! NOT USB-C 2.0, NOT THUNDERBOLT 3, ONLY USB-C 3.1 Gen 2! Huawei supplied cable is ****!
