Turn off Auto-Enhance / edit on iPhone

I just got the iPhone 14, and I find it incredibly frustrating that the photos are ruined by the auto enhancement. The camera is capable of taking a great photos, idk who in their right mind thought this would be a good feature. If we want to edit our photos we can do that on our own I feel. All my photos are grainy and the sharpness is too much. Seriously making every photo atrocious. I’m considering keeping my old iPhone and bringing this back that’s how much I hate this deep fusion thing whatever it’s called. Seriously. It’s not a subtle change at, just completely trashed the photo all together.

LOL I actually had to return iPhone 12 to get back to using my old iPhone 8 ( which is a true blessing) compared to these latest iPhones!!!

And all because of this stupid photo enhancement effect!!! What a waste and what a shame that even spending a good amount of money cannot get you a proper camera!!!!

The latest software does not solve this problem either... this is just incredible!!!

i just "upgraded" from the iphone xr and wow the phone 13 camera is SEVERELY DISAPPOINTING. just awful post-processing. i'm also surprised by how bad the wide angle lens is even in a bright indoor room. absolute garbage.

actually, i think i’ll switch from 13 pro to xs because apple they don't want to fix the big problem, when battery health drop down more than 80% for avrg pp and the phone becomes unusable, bugs… than she said oh we will fix on next update

I took three photos for 3 cats together from their side on Iphone 13 Pro this morning and the Photo Auto Enhance function has consistently changed one of the cats' faces partially to look like a monkey face! Seriously Apple!!!

So disappointed and frustrated that Apple still has no solution to this problem after endless complaints. They clearly don’t care about the customer as long as they keep getting our money. Asking myself why I am still using an iPhone… at this point iMessage and being connected to my other apply products are the only reasons I’m still here. But as the quality continues to go downhill, these reasons aren’t enough to stick it out any longer. The main feature of a phone I care about is the camera, iMessage and the apple ecosystem are less important to me. Somehow they’ve taken an amazing camera and rendered it entirely useless.

I so agree!!! they can do it if they want to if the want to uphold their name. To me with all these complaints that the consumers DON'T like they need to fix it! Because photos is a BIG part of a phone now a days!! And Galaxy is wining by far trust me!

It is the most frustrating feature!!! I have a business making portraits out of felt and when I photograph the art the auto enhance makes every little fiber super detailed and changes the look. In person they look so much better. I have to try and edit the images to look more realistic before sharing on social media. This is ridiculous! Added so much more time when all I want is a photo that I get to decide how it appears. There are no settings that work for every image so nothing should be auto on Apples end. The enhancements on this image make it look horrible and in person the art looks softer and more realistic.

Makes rich, colorful, soft-but detailed photos of my artwork into bright, dull, sharpened crap. I tried all suggested fixes and nothing works. I hate the iphone 13 cameras with a passion. Way too much post-editing. Apple, make it stop! Steve Jobs would not approve.

I am sure Apple knows this issue 😂. But they prefer to keep silence since no solution (that photo processing partly hardware based). I lost my trust in Apple. End of story. Sad I liked my apple watch ultra

Please fix this Apple - it’s utterly terrible and very frustrating. To the point that we are using my partners older iPhone for pictures. This has ruined so many images.

I have seen comparison pics with a Pixel and it’s leagues ahead. Shame Apple can’t let us control our images, or at least have the option. It’s our content!

Photos taken with the new iPhone 14 pro are a complete failure, I look terrible in every selfie. Grey skin, emphasized wrinkles and dark spots. None of the options worked for me! Photos are edited by this stupid upgrade anyway!

Terrible absolutely brutal. You pay all this money for these phones and they have that in here that you cannot control it. Every photo is a pain in the ***. Thank you Apple. I’ll definitely not be buying a new phone at least not from you people

But if you want an Android phone, I say go for it. More iPhones for the rest of us.
