after most recent update it won’t sleep
Go to Settings- Display And Brightness- Auto Lock. Then click a time that is appropriate for you.

It always slept on its own before the most recent update. Anyway found it thanks for your help. Somehow it ended up being checked off as “never” so I put it back to my own settings. Thank you
