Roblox App Not Affected by Screen Time

This is an issue. Roblox is the biggest offender of robbing my child’s personality. He gets short, he’s addicted, and he can’t put it down. Therapists say apps are responsible for impulsive behavior, Roblox and YouTube shorts are the worst. How do I tell my child he can’t use his iOS device for homework or speaking to friends, or calling us if he has any trouble or needs a ride? Because Apple can’t even create a protection for our children??? Apple, this is for you to fix please. Parents need your help navigating our children’s digital lives. Draconian measures unfortunately are the only resort. No tech.

This is a major problem for us. We don't allow our 10-year old to be on this game for too long... long enough for fun, but we try to limit it before it affects him negatively. This is the way of the present with parenthood. These kids want to play games, but we need to help curb it to ensure they have proper development.

Apple needs to address this issue. It's your product, your design to have parental controls. Roblox is one of the biggest games for kids and the only application that bypasses screen time. It's not fair to the kids or to the parents. It's hard to blame my son for going past his time b/c he's just a kid and I know how fun games can be.

Please fix this issue. It's driving us nuts and the only solution is to threaten to take the iPad away if he goes past his time. This is silly!

How do you go about changing the age limit on apps?

I am speaking generally but I still am confused why he keeps downloading it ? You can directly block apps in screen time. My child only has access to certain apps. Can’t get on safari at all etc.

Also I’m not insensitive to your child and I’m sorry to hear the challenge you face as far as that.

I have the same problem. I have been trying to figure it out for about a year. No luck. YouTube kids also evades screen time. Apple......hello......hello....are you listening?

This didn't work for me :( I've only ever set screen time locally on the device. It still doesn't work with Roblox.
