Interference between AirPods 3 and MX Master 3

macOS build: 12.1 (21C52)

laptop: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)

Recently I was told my voice heard in video meetings sounds robotic like and contains static. I confirmed that by recording my voice in Voice Memos when using both the mouse and AirPods 3.

I also confirmed that the AirPods would work just fine if I turn off my mouse. Any way to resolve the problem? MX Master 3 only supports connecting via Bluetooth.

Hello Everyone,

I had fairly similar issue (not the robot voice, but the signal cracking using Mx master 3 and any Bluetooth headphones). None of the solutions presented above solved it for me, and I am also recently on Ventura, which also didn't solve.

But all those pointers lead me to think the main issue was a conflict between the two "continuity" functions both logitech and apple offer, to be able to move mouth through different device. (They probably don't want to fix the issue cause they both want you to dedicate to one system...)

Anyhow, I found a setting that did it, and I haven't seen it here, so I thought of sharing as this was so annoying and it seems to be well gone now for me:

Settings --> display --> Advanced --> deactivate the first setting, the one that basically activates this continuity setting.

The problem was finally solved for me. I hope it can help someone out there!

I think this is an apple MacOS issue...Didn't have any issues last year before upgrading to Monterey...Just saw a new 12.3 update..will try it today and provide feedback.

Both my MX Master 2S and MX Master Keys are interfering with my AirPods Pro when connected to MacBook Pro via bluetooth. Issue is resolved when I start using the Logitech Unifying Receiver for both devices so somehow the bluetooth signal from Logitech mouse and keyboard are messing with the AirPods Pro...

The MX Master 3 for Mac supports three devices using different channels. I was using channel 1 for my mac and channel 2 for my pc. I ended up switching my mac from Channel 1 to 3 by deleting the device from my mac bluetooth connection, switching to channel 3 and pairing mode on the mouse, and then reconnecting to my mac. Immediately noticed the robot voice was gone. Hope this helps!

Same issue. Everything I am seeing is that apple and Logitech keep pointing their fingers at each other. It is dumb seeing as the MX Master is one of the top choices not just for windows but apple products as well. Can we pls have apple look into this. The fix should not be us the usb receiver. Like if you got the MX master that was branded as the Mac OS version it does not even come with the USB receiver.

I had tried this in the past and got a few days of everything working and then the robot voice was back again. Just repeated this now that I'm on 12.3.1 and it did not fix the issue. So far, just turning off/on my mouse at the start of every phone call or Zoom, Webex, Teams, etc. solves my issue for the duration of that event. Thanks for sharing, maybe it will work for others.

I can confirm i am having this issue also confirmed to be my MX Master 3 being the cause of bluetooth connectivity issues when paired.

-MBP PRO 14" M1 Pro - Monterey 12.4

-AirPods Max v.4E71

Audio broken and crackling whilst MX master 3 mouse is connected as soon as turned off/disconnected AirPods Max Audio returns to normal .

I have tested with AirPods Max and AirPods Pro both on firmware 4E71 and issue persists.

I'm using MX Keys mini keyboard and MX anywhere 2S mouse for working and until today I'm still encountering this problem. It sucks that both MX keys mini and MX anywhere don't have the Unifier USB dongle for an alternative connection. Therefore, I have to switch off both peripherals each time I want to use the AirPods Pro microphone in calls using Teams or Slack.

Please update the firmware to fix the problem Apple, a 250$ earphones should not have this handicap.

I'm using a MacBook Pro 16-inch 2019 on macOS Monterey 12.4

This problem isn't solved yet. Using a USB receiver for the mouse is not a viable solution because is not ok to use a USB-A receiver on a MacBook Pro only with 2 Thunderbolt (USB-C) ports on a mouse with Bluetooth connection.

My voice heard in all calls sounds robotic and choppy. Also I hear the people in the call the same.

I also confirmed that the AirPods would work just fine if I turn off my mouse or if I use the Apple Magic Mouse.

The setup that I use is the following:

Device: MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020)

Operating System: macOS Monterey Version 12.4 (21F79)

Headphones: AirPods 2 Model Number A2031 (Firmware 4E71)

Mouse: Logitech MX Master 3
