I bought apple tv 4k today.
Why is it showing "tinder" as a purchased app if I've never purchased it/downloaded it?!
There is no record of it in my apple id purchases so why is it showing?
Has anybody else experienced this and can I remove it or do I need to get a refund?

This is rather embarrassing: I've just figured out how to view all my purchase history. Turns out it was downloaded May 2014! (it was free) I was single at the time but have never used it. So maybe it was some sort of prank :D. Sorry for wasting your time.
If I can't hide it on Apple tv, think I will delete my apple id and get a new one.
So it must have been hidden as a purchased app in the app store on my ipad.
I found it when searching through "purchase history" in my apple id settings

If you bought a second hand device, then please reset it, and set it up with your own account. You might be seeing someone else’s apps.

With some scenarios discarded, I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback).
Thanks for the reply. The link only gives purchases from 2021. Is there a way I can view any earlier purchases?
I have checked purchases on an ipad in the app store. This seems to list all my purchases but Tinder is not showing.

Thanks for the reply. The Apple tv is new and was bought from the Apple store. I. My ipad was given to me at work in 2013 (I'm assuming it was new at the time). I have another one from work as they sold some off cheap. This was wiped clean before I bought it. Neither of these ipads show Tinder as being purchased in the app store under my id. Only Apple tv shows the tinder app as being purchased.
Thanks for the links. I've just had a chat with support. There is no record of me downloading Tinder under my Apple id.
I thought maybe someone had downloaded it as a prank and then hid the purchase but that's now been ruled out.
Maybe I should delete my apple id and start a new one. If Apple tv showed it as purchased under my partner's id, I would have returned it. I don't think I can remove it from Apple tv as being purchased.
It's very odd!
When my partner logs into apple tv, it doesn't show tinder as being purchased.
