Galaxy Buds continously cause the microphone volume to reduce to zero

This is similar to https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253375347 but different

When using my Galaxy buds on my MacBook Pro 15" 2019, running Monterey, the buds connect well, but the microphone volume keeps dropping until it is zero. The buds are updated to the latest firmware version via my Android phone (a Samsung too)

Even if I return the volume to full, it reduces back to zero continuously

This seems to be restricted to Galaxy Buds+ as I have a pair of Otium wireless headphones which do not exhibit the same behavior.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.1
