IPhone 13 Pro Max Carplay

I am a long time Carplay user. Just got a new iPhone 13 Pro Max replacing an 11. The 11 and previous phones worked fine on my 2016 Silverado but the OEM stereo won't even start Carplay with the new phone running 15.2. Tried all the fixes and new cable (but old cable works fine with the 11). Tried rebooting phone, car, and stereo. There is no wireless carplay in this truck, only USB wired. Content & Privacy Restrictions are OFF. Just received the phone this week.


I am able to connect to the truck using Bluetooth, but not Carplay. Tried turning off Bluetooth and even deleted the phone from the Bluetooth settings, still Carplay will not launch on the stereo.


Please help, is this a 15.2 bug?

Thank you, that did the trick! There is a setting to remove the old phone from Carplay. I went ahead and removed it from both Carplay, Bluetooth, and then restarted the truck. Plugged in my phone, navigated to the Carplay setting, and clicked the "add new device" button on the right side of the screen (since it did not prompt me to use Carplay upon plugging it in).
