Does the new MacBook Pro have a DVD burner?

I’m looking to buy a new MacBook Pro. I have a lot of old home vhs movies that I want to convert and burn them on a dvd. I have a MacBook Pro 2010 that has a DVD burner and I have already converted and burned some on dvd’s but the new mac book pros no longer have the dvd burner not sure why apple took removed them. Does the new Mac book pros still have the capability to burn movies onto a dvd and if so how would that work? Before I decide to buy a new MacBook Pro i want to know if this is possible to do. Thank you.

The new systems are thin, with all components including RAM and SSD soldered to the logicboard. DVD burner is too big for this new type. Apple does provide one: https://www.apple.com/us/search/Apple+USB+SuperDrive?src=globalnav

I did not say that iMovie was fast ... took an hour for single tape conversion with some of my family VHS tapes. Just that iDVD never made it into later MacOS.

You can use any external burner that is compatible.If you want to burn movies, you will need software that'll properly encode the movie so you can play it in any player.

I still have my 2011 MBP, powered down and standing ready to convert VHS using Elgato/iMovie/iDVD under SL. The 2011 has little other use, but still is with me.
