Solved Airpods not Charging USB-C Windows 10
I found this solution on reddit and it worked for me.
"My Airpods case would not charge through the USB-C port on Windows 10. It
would charge when I shut the computer off, but the moment Windows booted up it stopped charging.
I see a lot of other people have the same issue, but couldn't find a solution.
Figured I would share what worked for me after some trial and error.
Simply disabling the driver seems to be working nicely for now.
Possible workaround:
- Plug in Airpods case to USB-C
- Go to Control Panel
- View Devices and printers
- Under 'Unspecified' you'll find AirPod Case, double click it
- Hardware tab
- Double click HID-compliant device (not the USB input)
- Click Change settings
- Driver tab
- Disable Device
- Unplug, then reconnect your case
Windows will complain about a driver error, but AFAIK you only need the case to draw power so a working driver isn't needed."
