AirPods Pro replacement/issue - pre 2020 version.

Serial number on box isn't recognized when I enter it to being Apple live chat for support. Why?

They may not be Genuine.

A. Verify the Serial Number: Go here, and see if the AirPods' S/N match what is on the box: Find the serial number of your AirPods - Apple Support


B. Who is the seller:

  • Third-Party?: If not form Apple, then they may not be genuine. Note that scammers often scam others in to thing sing they are a real device. So, if a scam, then your out of luck, and need to get a new pair. If Apple, then no worries there.


  • Apple?: If purchased from Apple, then contact Apple Support. This may be a glitch in their product database.

Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
