Incorrect Album Art on my iPhone 13
The album artwork for several albums is mixed up. The artwork is correct in iTunes, but I just did a sync to my phone and now things are messed up. Resyncing and restarting did not fix the problem.

I deleted the Music app from my iphone 13, and deleted all of the music. Then deleted all of the backup files that i have stored on my iMac, and resynced the phone to find..... a whole load of the album art remains messed up, This is not a minor issue as I really use the album art to select music when I am using car-play, as it offers a much quicker recognition of the album than having to search by name. Now, there is added jeopardy when selecting music in the car as I HAVE To read the album title to be sure of what I'm going to get. From a cursory review it would seem that all music I have bought form the itunes store is fine, but anything I have synced from my CD collection over the years is now corrupted. By the way, on the iMac, the album art is correct - it's only an issue on the iphone.
Come on Apple - sort this out - you should be embarrassed that such a basic feature has been an issue for your customers for so long. We don't all want to only use streaming services for our music - some of us have collections which we would like to keep.
I share the same artwork problem on my iPhone 13, but to make matters worse, I found the music was duplicated on multiple albums. This is not the case on my Mac Book Pro, as its library is fine. I went through and deleted all the duplicate songs, but cannot get all the artwork corrected.

Ok so after looking everywhere for an answer and couldn’t find one this is what I did and it worked.
Three weeks ago, I completely deleted the Music app from my iPhone 13 and redownload new Music app from Apple App Store, resynchronised everything on iTune and it has worked fine since.
Deinstalling the Apple Music app and reinstalling it from the App Store on the iPhone helped me with this problem!
I had the same problem syncing my new iPhone 13 with the Music app on my MacBook. Nothing works to make the Music app function correctly on the iPhone. It’s pretty dismal of Apple. I even thought about selling the phone and getting an Android. However, this is what I ended up doing. I deleted the Music app off my phone (that’s where the issue is, as the artwork is correct on my MacBook) and I downloaded Harken from the App Store onto my iPhone. I resynced my MacBook with my iPhone through the Music app on my MacBook. Now all the artwork is correct and I don’t have any duplicates.
That is very well put! I'm not the guy who always thinks I need the newest thing out, but I thought for a change I would step up to the new product, especially since I'm so into music - and I thought the bigger screen, and hopefully a little better speaker might be cool to have. Like you, I was let down when I saw that my old phone transferred and did the albumn artwork and things 95% better than this new one. My family has had Apple products for years too, but I think that's gonna change next time. And even more frustrating is the fact that when you chat with someone in the Apple Tech department, they are so naive to the issues customer's are having, or so they act like it anyway. Well, life is good and I'll be thankful that I have the means to own a $1000 toy even though I complain a bit about it.
Do you think it would work with a PC? I've run iTunes through an hp for years and I don't wanna transfer my whole library to my Mac. My dad's iPhone 8 works fine but my 13 is having the same issues with mixing up the artwork
It’s quite distressing when this happens. I used Vox for a while and the artwork was correct, then I learnt that you need to uninstall the Apple Music app and reinstall it to fix the problem. It worked on my iPhone 13. I think the issue occurs when you use the transfer app to move your stuff on to your new phone. Good luck 🤞
I had same issue. 40000 tracks jumbled up. Deleted the iTunes app. Deleted all tracks from phone, left it a while to ensure deletion complete. Hooked up to laptop added tracks, left it a while after finished to ensure completed correctly. All is well…
I have the same issue with my iPhone 13 Pro Max, all the album artwork is mixed up. Getting pretty fed up with all the Apple issues. Had an IPhone 12 Pro Max that was from a “bad production run” of the phones, after 8 months Verizon finally replaces it with a 13. really seems like ever since Jobs passed the company has done nothing but go down hill. I’m get getting closer and closer to switching back to. Samsung phone and another computer manufacturer.
Call me sick and tired!
I’m with you on this ‘Phil’. I’d like to consider myself beyond a nube, so this issue is T something everyone can fix themselves. Judging by the posting dates, it’s not a new issue either. I have only a touch of ‘various artists’ filings, but the songs all have complete tag files. So they shouldn’t be there.
1 hr on phone w/ Apple Support - ends up a communication error between iPhone 13Pro & MacBook.
1) Verify all music on MacBook is correct with proper artwork
2) Verify iPhone & MacBook iOS Softwares are latest versions each
3) Delete iPhone Music APP (& data)
4) Reinstall iPhone Music APP
5) Resync iPhone to MacBook
I deleted the app on my iPhone 13 and made sure my iPhone and Mac had the latest software. I downloaded Apple Music player on my iPhone. All the art for the songs is correct BUT the playlist artwork is All wrong. What a mess. Can’t believe this has been going on for so long. Please fix it apple.
I have the same problem with several of my own albums. The artworks were correct on itune but after sync, the artworks are mixed up on the iPhone. This only happened after the latest ios upgrade. I have iPhone 13. Very disappointing.
