Thunderbolt dock/hub USB ports stop working after disconnect/reconnect after Monterey 12.2

I have a MacBook Pro 13" 2020 with a Caldigit TB3 Plus thunderbolt dock/hub. I have a webcam, keyboard, mouse, ethernet cable connected to the dock.

I upgraded to Monterey 12.2. Now whenever I disconnect the thunderbolt cable and reconnect it, none of the usb devices (nor ethernet) work. The connected monitors still work.

The only thing that will restore the USB ports is rebooting - which now also takes minutes more than before.

I've tried zapping the pram, smc. No improvements.

Any ideas on what else I could try?

I too have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports) and am experiencing the same problem with MacOS 12.2.1. USB ports and the Ethernet port on my Plugable TBT3-UDV dock are not functional after re-connecting the dock to the Mac. A full reboot is required to bring the USB ports and Ethernet port back to life. I experienced the exact same issue for many months with MacOS 10.x. Upgrading the MacOS 11.x Big Sur solved the problem completely, along with all subsequent releases of Big Sur. The early versions of Monterey 12.0.x and 12.1.x did not experience issues. The problem seems to have returned with Monterey 12.2.x. This appears to be a bug that needs to be addressed by Apple.
