Does macOS Monterey limit the number of messages available in Mail?
iMac 27″, macOS 12.2
Delete the email account from mail.
Login to AOL on the web and go to account settings then to account security.
Make sure you have 2-step verification enabled.
In AOL account security choose 'generate and manage app passwords'. Enter the name of the app as 'Apple Mail' and generate a one time password (I could only get this to work on Chrome so it might depend on browser settings). Copy this one time password.
Re-add the email account in mail but DO NOT select AOL account. Choose 'Other mail account'.
Use the one time password instead of your normal AOL password to login.
All your emails should now show in mail.
Yes, definitely worrying for me. My Spark used to work normally, as yours does. And now only loads 10,000, and will no longer scroll beyond that point. Nor can it search anything older than that.
Today my Spark mail count is now showing exactly 50,000 emails. Looks like this issue is actually an issue with the email service providers.

Any further info from Apple? I have the same issue (Yahoo says 72k messages, Mail says 9k) in both Monterey, Big Sur and iPhone 15.4.1. My Gmail count in Mail is fine with 24k.

Actually, my bad eyesight. Spark was actually showing dead on 56,000 emails, but is now showing 56,020.
It was well over 56,000 last month though so something is going on with Yahoo at least.
Could you please send me the solution? I don't see it in this thread?
