Red square when using Quick Look
Quicklook is displaying huge red areas/squares – I have already seen several entries about this, what strikes me is that it only affects pre M1 computers. Also, it only occurs in Big Sur and Monterey.
Make sure that the option Reduce transparency is not active in the system settings under Accessibility then Display. The transparency reduce increases these red areas enormously. So leave it off as it is standard and live with the OS transparency.
I am because of this problem already with the support in contact and try to stay on it, so that it is solved. It seems to be a software bug, but I haven't heard that from apple yet and hope that my Hardware is fine.
