How to merge partition ?

Here I have two Container disk, Container disk 1 has MACOS and MACOS-DATA, while the Container disk 2 has NewAPFS named volumes.

I want to remove NewAPFS and add that space onto MACOS. How to do that using disk utility ?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.6

I did this because most of my music studio apps were not compatible with Monterey, but worked perfectly with Mojave. Now, all my music studio apps will work with Monterey. difference between AppleAPFSMedia and Container disk Hello, I formatted my external WD 5T drive to 2 APFS partitions, 3T and 2T respectively. In Disk Utility, View - Show All Devices, it shows one in AppleAPFSMedia and the other Container disk (followed by disk names). Could someone tell me if I did anything wrong? Why not both volumes in AppleAPFSMedia? How can that be fixed? My machine is MacBook Pro 16, Apple M2 Pro, Ventura 13.4.1. Thank you!

hey thats correct, i am unable to merge as before the system partition.,

output of diskutils list

so my only option would be reinstall OS, and reformat the drive ?

I have no idea if that shows the partitions in order or not.

The pie diagram in the Partition function of Disk Utility will show the order starting from the top and going around clockwise.
