iTunes and my new iPhone 13 Max Pro
Before I begin -- just wanted to confirm that all software is up to date on both the phone and laptop.
I just got a new iPhone 13 Max Pro. I noticed not all of my music was on the new phone. I connected to my laptop (iTunes for Windows) and opened iTunes on my laptop. All of my music is on my laptop and, after syncing, all of my music is on my phone. The music plays in both places. However, I noticed under "Devices" on my laptop, when looking at the music that is on my phone:
- all of the songs under "Music" are greyed out and many have a dotted circle next to them. I cannot click on them or sort the list, and they will not play from this location.
- some of the songs under "Loved" or my Playlists are greyed out with the circle next to them. Others are not. The ones that are not greyed out will play, the others will not.
- under Library, I can create a playlist; under Devices, I cannot as the option is greyed out.
- under "All Playlists", all of the songs are there and nothing is greyed out. No grey circles.
- All the playlists under "All Playlists" have the same number of songs as the same playlists under "Devices."
- If I add a song from my library to a playlist, then sync with my phone, the song shows up in all places; however, it is greyed out with a grey circle.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on and how I can fix it?
Thanks in advance.
