iFit is not writing to the Health app

Hello!

Back in September 2021, iFit became a connected App to Apple Health. And it worked flawlessly. All of a sudden, in the last week and a half, this isn't working.

Apple Health is still writing to iFit, but iFit is no longer writing to Apple Health.

I have been in touch with iFit and yes, I've done it all! Deleted the iFit app, added it back, made sure it's showing as a source of data for Apple Health, but still no luck. So now I'm curious if it's an Apple Health thing.

I count on my iFit workouts to close my rings each day. Help!

And while we're at it... any idea why an Indoor run and what my treadmill tells me I've run never match?

I have had this problem for the last week or so. Just stopped working. Multiple support tickets with ifit. Tried all the solutions here, resetting app data, remove and reinstall. Very frustrating.

I just found a work around. I am using Strava as a bridge. Add Strava as a connected app in ifit (and Strava connected with Apple Health) and boom rings closed! Your workouts go from ifit -> Strava -> Health -> Fitness. It can take a couple minutes for it all to update, but has worked well for me for both spin bike and treadmill

Apple says it’s IFIT software! They kept saying that apple has a fitness app as well. However my IFIT done on my iPad shows up on the phone but doesn’t write to apple health but if done using my phone it does. So I’m lucky there, but bought the iPad solely for IFIT and the bigger screen.

Does apple include workout minutes/move calories to close rings if entered manually in apple health?

They (apple) said apple fitness will sync with apple health to close rings. I asked if it had the potential to glitch if done on the iPad, the same as ifit is doing now and do they have milestones and free stuff? They said possibly and no!

I don’t have any apple health writing to ifit. It sure I ever did. Where do you see it in the ifit app? I am using my phone and as of right now ifit is writing to health from it but not when done on my iPad. I am hesitant to update iOS. Maybe it will have a fix though? This is such a pain. I bought the iPad so I would have a bigger screen on my bike! Can you add your workouts manually to apple health to help close your rings?

Your IPad never wrote to Health.

1- If you use your iPad or the screen on your device, the IPad or the local screen write the work in the IFIT cloud.

2-When you open the IFIT app on your iPhone, the app get the work from IFIT cloud and send it to Health. This is what is not working now.

I do not know many people using the iPhone directly because the screen is too small.

IFIT was doing a new version almost every month before. But since we have this problem (3 months) there is no new revision of the app. There must be a serious problem!!!

It is mid June and still no fix. Interestingly though, mine was working til June 9 then suddenly stopped. I am on iOS 15.5 currently. I’ve tried everything, but fully delete everything related to iFIT (including past workouts) from the Health app. I was wondering if anyone has tried that. When mine first stopped working, upon checking the Health app, iFIT was marked as “inactive”. I did toggle it to “active”, but it did not help either. My last resort, like I said, is to fully remove everything that is stored in Health related to iFIT. I just have the feeling that it is not syncing anymore because there is an old broken connection preventing it from saving new workouts. I would expect that, starting an entire new connection, would fix the problem. So, has anyone tried that yet? Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Mine stopped 01/27/22. Workouts completed in app sync. Workouts on equipment do not. I emailed iFit early February and received no response until a few days ago (took them a month), basically saying “reply if you still have an issue”.

Only replying to this message to add to the record of people being affected by this issue. I’ve tried everything. This honestly was one of my favorite features…
