Screen Time not working on Tiktok, Snapchat, Instagram?

Apple is merely pretending to care for children. The reality is that they are no different from Facebook and TikTok, and their intention is to raise the generation of zombies. I spoke with Apple support two days ago about the Screen Time feature, and their disregard for it was shocking. I informed them that I had Apple Care, but my Screen Time was not functioning, and they responded by saying that there was nothing they could do to assist me. Regardless of the problem, their solution is always to remove the children from the family and then rejoin, despite knowing how difficult this process can be. They are hoping that no one will take this step. However, I did it, and it still didn't resolve the issue. The software support at Apple is extremely poor.

We have used a iPhone XR and now iPhone 14 , no difference - both experience same issue so IOS issue for sure.

Thanks will try this - as I’ve spent hours trying all the other suggestions I’ve come across. It’s outrageous that Apple are dodging responsibility for this and saying there’s no known problems. And I’m sure some third party developers are trying to get around restrictions but ffs Apple - ban them from the App Store!

TikTok is definitely the biggest issue for us too - have a 5m app limit and still regularly see reports from Screen Time itself like this:

What a joke - the app displays the 5m restriction and the 2.5hrs of use today ON THE SAME PAGE!

Failed at the first step - went to Always Allow and lo and behold, the offending apps don’t appear in my list of apps that I can turn on to “always allow”. Wtf?

There ABSOLUTELY IS A PROBLEM. During downtime, the only apps that work on my daughter's phone are SnapChat and TikTok. She doesn't have IG. Her iPhone 12 Pro Max stays updated as I am anxiously waiting for a fix. HELP!!! APPLE PLEASE FIX!!!!!!

Having the same issue 😫 tiktok, whatsapp and youtube are still showing eventho i’ve blocked the apps. Changed the passwords so many times. Even deleting and reinstalling the apps and then restarting her phone and my phone and still didn’t do anything.

the screentime was a great addition to apple. By why can a 3rd party override this?! Apple can’t say it’s not their issue which clearly it is as well. My gosh i hope it goes back to normal soon!

I am having the same issue. It’s only been the case for a few weeks, before it was fine. I don’t know what has changed! It’s really frustrating though. Have tried all these fixes but none have worked 😕

I’m in contact with Apple support on twitter. Their take is that this is a third party problem and advised that I should contact the YouTube, TikTok, Instagram. And Snapchat supports.

It’s quite astonishing how Apple shifts the responsibility for an obvious failure of their parental control system on the third party developers.

Yes, the classic ducking of responsibility line "we just provide a platform, we're not responsible for anything on our platform" seems somewhat inconsistent with Apple's positioning of Apple News - and its holier-than-thou criticism of other online news sources like FaceBook, YouTube, Instagram... wait, what?

I'm furious because we were reluctant to pay Apple's premium prices for electronic devices for our household but chose to invest in Apple products because of the parental control feature which they actively promote.

As we have all discovered on this thread, the feature does not work. Insterad of fixing it, Apple are entering into misleading conduct by trying to blame 3rd party vendors. The 3rd parties are not promoting the feature, Apple are.

This has been going on long enough and Apple are not making an effort to fix it.

Maybe its time for us to make it real for Apple by seeking compensation via a class action for their misleading conduct?

Is there a lawyer out there who can comment on this?

At any rate, it seems the issue has fixed itself for at least a few people.

Maybe in some part of you're region doesn't support those apps .first you must read if the Apps you're installing is match with you're device.if the problem is not solved try to contact expert help in our support group.thank you
