Logitech Brio 4K Audio Loop Issue

Following up this thread: Logitech 4K Pro Magnetic Webcam for Apple… - Apple Community Now discontinued.

I've been having the same dreaded fast audio loop using my Brio 4K. Finally figured out how to update using their Logitune software here: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402711293335-Download-4K-Pro-Webcam

There's a useful YT explainer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2WUFKwekOo

Still updating but the firmware release notes actually detail the issue so semi-hopeful. Will report back...

I can confirm that the fix, or workaround, for a Logitech Brio is to connect the camera to the Mac via a USB C to USB C cable (so directly to a USB C port).

This was acknowledged by Logitech support. Whether there will be a fix isn't known. I'd say it depends on how deeply the issue is buried in the differences between the USB A and USB C ports on the Mac's hardware or firmware

Hi @sjsusamn, I haven't tried just unplugging the camera. So far, I reboot the Mac Studio to get it working again. I've seen some posts describing the same experience I've had. My suspicion is the incompatibility is deep in hardware/firmware (possibly in the Mac Studio) so the fix could be difficult to implement.

Your point regarding the camera being sold via the Apple Shop is probably the most ironic part of the whole issue.
