Mail App keeps freezing

Cool12, I’m almost 24 hours after my update to iOS 15.6 and still working great. Glad yours is also. Have a good weekend.

I still have not had a problem since I did the update to 15.6. Still working fine. Thankfully

This is an Apple forum. Monitored and moderated by Apple. Can someone from Apple please look into this and take the problem seriously. This is a debilitating software failure that makes one of the most vital apps on iOS virtually unusable. I really, really don't want to defect to the cumbersome crawl of Outlook but unless this is fixed soon I will have no choice.

Sad to say i’ve now defected to MS Outlook on iOS (but not Mac). It turns out to be surprisingly good. To be honest, it has improved a lot over the last couple of years and is now more powerful and flexible than Mail with better features and a UI that is at least as intuitive. I hate to say it but this sorry episode has served to show how far Mail has been left behind. 

Incidentally Apple certainly monitors the site because they saw fit to take down my last post as it suggested that the firm might have, shall we say, misplaced development priorities! Let's hope they act fast to save the reputation of this fundamentally important app.

I agree with jsharkin. I've been having the same problem I see on this thread. I did all the resets, to no amends and it's not acceptable for us to have to reset the iphone and erase everything to then have to reinstall it's a pain. Apple please advise.

Apple, please hear our concerns and take this issue seriously. I’ve had iPhones since the beginning of iPhones. This is a major problem and I think we deserve a fix or an answer as to when we can expect a fix. Please.

I have exactly the same issue. 15.4 does not fix the issue.

That worked for less than a week and now it’s frozen again.

I’m having the same problem with my mail app. It recently started freezing and I have 6 email accounts. It freezes for 20-40 seconds and the. Unfreezes itself.

I'm having the same issue and none of the solutions proposed here are working to resolve it.

That doesn’t seem like an acceptable solution. Given so many people are having that problem and with everything that we have on our phones, to do a factory reset we will lose everything.

What seems pretty strange is that not everyone is having the problem that we are having so it doesn’t seem like a priority for Apple to fix quickly. I agree that a factory reset is too extreme.
