iPad with 15.3.1 iOS update load e-mails very slowly

I don’t think I lost any but did have several load with no sender or content. I deleted them and no issues since. Good luck 👍🏻

Updated to IOS 15.6. The Email list downloads normally but the email content (body of the email) still loads very slow. Half of the problem solved…hope Apple fixes the other half soon.

I have the same problem. 1:12 seconds until the last set of mail loaded on my iPad Pro 15.5 and the time before it closed without loading the mail at all. Same mail loads instantly on my iPhone 13. I tried both of your suggestions- closing app and restarting. I am able to open comcast mail on their site and google mail on their site, but neither will load quickly into the Apple Mail app. I have the same problem on my wifi in Pennsylvania and in Delaware. Due to this information, it seems that the iPad OS 15.5 is the problem. I actually have had the problem for quite a while and it might be the OS before this that is the problem.

What else can I try? It is very frustrating as well as SLOW to wait for reloading every time I go to mail. This is the ONLY app I have this problem with.

I have no problem with the mail app on my iPhone. The problem is with the iPad. I have tried every suggestion, including yours and the problem persists. Based on the reports I’ve read I am 100% certain this is a problem with the latest update of IOS for iPad and, unfortunately, I suspect I will have to wait for the next update for this problem to be corrected. By now, based on all the problems reported with the mail app on the iPad, Apple knows there is a problem

+ 1. Moved to Outlook and Gmail apps. Still rather mail.app but if the fix does not come it is impossible to come back to it.

I have the same issues. My mail shows blank. I am using Google email app instead as the iOS is so slow.

Updating the firmware on my router solved my slow e mail download issue.

Upgraded overnight on my iPhone Xs Max to iOS 15.6 and this finally resolved the issue with my mail showing a white screen for 60 seconds before anything would load.

Clearly this is a known bug, and in typical Apple fashion: reboot, delete app, yaddi-yaddi-ya. Nothing works, turning off the privacy setting, zip -- in particular a reboot does jack-squat. I didn't see this one in the above comments, but another aspect is when in another app (e.g., a browser) and switching back to the mail app, you're presenting with a blank screen (again after finally opening Mail and getting your in-basket populated)... hitting the back arrow does nothing, the Mail app hangs for 20-30 seconds or more, before it finally shows back on your screen. Get your S#!+ together Apple, Mail used to one of your more "snappier" apps, now its almost worthless.

I’ve deleted my email accounts & reinstalled and that doesn’t work. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the Mail App twice and that doesn’t work. I was on the phone for over two hours the other day with Apple Support and got disconnected. They had my number from the night before when they scheduled to call me the next day. I never got a call back, nor did I even attempt to call them…waste of time.

! I told her about the comments here and she reviewed them saying she hadn’t heard of the issues before! She was going to have me restore my iPad through my computer as it is supposed to install all updates before I restore from my backup. I’ve never had time to try it yet, but I’m sure sick of dealing with this! Sure wish Apple would fix this before they issue all of the new stuff they announced today!

My apple Mail app on iPad has behaved much better since I downloaded the GMail app - It seemed to have cleared a backlog that built up while I was away for a few days..

I’ve kept both, prefer to use apple, but the gmail is there if apple gets stuck

Maybe this helps the tech guys at apple to identify this problem, which is affecting quite a lot of folk?

I finally found how to turn on my .mac account on the iPad and mails load fast. Will report back tomorrow and see if this last IOS update fixes the issue.

Using 15.4.1 with iphone 10s. Since upgrading to 15 when I open mail I see a white page and takes 3-4 minutes for the emails to load. Never had problem before. Shut down app; turned off phone, all with no i

provements. Really let’s do some testing before you release an update. Not everyone has new phones they supply with you.

Any fixes besides turning phone on and off? did not work. I have deleted emails. I have deleted the mailboxes and reinstalled. Any suggestions would be greatly aPpreciated! Its only happening on my Ipad mini.

Same issue, email extremely slow after the update to 15.4.1, followed all kinds of fixes suggestions, nothing works so far. Extremely frustrating, starting to use web based email instead. Please fix, used to work just fine before the update.
