Card reader (XQD) not recognized on Mac running Monterey 12.2.2

My mac use to have no problem recognizing my camera XQD card reader for picture transfer to Lightroom. Now the card is not showing up at all. I have rebooted, tried multiple readers, hooked up the camera directly, and tried wireless connection with no luck. I have also double-checked that the photos are still on the card. I have also checked settings for Finder to ensure the card will show up. No luck with anything. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Going back to something you said. "Hooked up the camera directly." I have a Kodak camera and in prior Mac OS iPhoto would open when I plug the camera in directly. Now since Photos it does not. I have to open Photos and then use import. So with Photos open do you get any import option? I can't think of any other options for you. Except to use Get Support at the top right and write an explanation to them.

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately I have tried all of those suggestions and it did not resolve the problem. Mysteriously the card process worked for months and now it doesn’t. I suspect a software update is the culprit.
