Well, then don’t buy it. Consider, though, the odds of accidentally damaging the cord. Yes, anything can happen and we can always find a reason not buy something. A non-removal cord would not be on my list of reasons not to buy the Studio Display, personally. Home Pod power cords are also not technically user removable either.
My odds of having a damaged cord, better than average. I am a klutz. Also, pets can chew the cord and have done so in the past, so it is one of the things I look for when researching a product. Another thing I look for, is will it be repairable by someone near my home. At this time, that does not exist. I don't own a home pod because it is too expensive, and the cord is attached.

That means if the cord becomes damaged it cannot be replaced, therefore the monitor will be worthless. This is the first reason this is a nonstarter for a new monitor purchase in my household.
Guess what, there is no Apple Store near me. I have yet to see if the cord is detachable in You Tube reviews.
In my experience with damaged cords, usually the end plugging into the wall gets damaged. That’s trivial to replace. But your experience may be different.
Well in my neck of the woods there is no authorized Apple Technician in town.
