Apple Music/iTunes - Albums, Artists & Songs not appearing in app

When in the Apple Music app, no albums, artists or songs are appearing in iTunes. I've restarted the app several times to no avail. The Music app provides no errors. It just lists nothing as per the attached screenshot.

Thankfully, I only use the app to purchase music and my entire 4000 song collection is downloaded to my home server. I just cannot browse or purchase any more music from Apple.

If I search for an artist, it will show a completely blank screen.

Hi, B-Spoke. Since nothing is showing, it looks like this could potentially be network related. Do you have any sort of VPN or similar installed on your Mac? If so, we'd recommend disabling that and see if this persists.

We'd also recommend connecting to another known working network and see if everything shows up properly when connected there.

While not exactly the same issue, some of the information in this article may be helpful as well: If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services

Cheers.

B-Spoke,

Are you able to access the iTunes Store app on any other device?

For testing purposes and to help isolate the issue, please create a new admin user and test to see if the issue continues. This will allow you to determine if the issue is system wide or a specific user, so that you may determine your next troubleshooting steps.

Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

We hope this helps!

Sincerely.

I have absolutely no network issues. Everything else is working fine. I have no use for VPN while at home.

Apple TV+ service works fine. Apple updates work fine. All other network services are working fine. I have made no changes to the network configuration for several years.

It appears that Apple has changed something on their end which has resulted in this. It only started last week.

Thank you for you help.

Yes, accessing iTunes is not an issue.

Apple Music is working today, for whatever reason.

On the other plus side, I discovered that I don't need to use the app to access the Apple Music. I can access it online at music.apple.com

On a separate note. Annoyingly, the Music app still insists on resetting my Music folder location from my network location to the iMac HDD. Nothing I do can stop this from happening. This time it took 4 weeks before the Music app randomly decided to reset the location. The network folder is always accessible from all devices on the local network and anywhere in the world via VPN. It is hosted on a server that is running 100% of the time and never goes down (100% battery backup)(running Windows Server 2022). I suspect it has something to do with Active Directory (LDAP) issues in OSX.
