Hey I received the return box in the mail today and it says to place the AirPods and charging case in said box. But I also received a email that said only return what needs to be fixed and if I send anything more it will not be returned

Use the Return Box's Instructions:
Perform as instructed by the AppleCare center. It would be as mentioned on the pamphlet that came with the send-in service. The authenticity needs to be proved of the AirPods themselves along with the case.
